Aric Lasher is president and director of design for HBRA. His projects include buildings for government, cultural, academic, and public institutions; as well as residential projects, landscapes, renovations, and restorations of historic structures. He is a registered architect in the States of Illinois, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, and Michigan. Formerly, he designed sets for several films including Minority Report, Pearl Harbor, and What Dreams May Come

Lasher is a public and academic speaker, and has served as a design critic, and juror, for academic studios and professional awards. His book, Plans of Chicago, considers the legacy of planning innovation and the future of the city from an analytical and urban historical perspective.

Lasher is a fellow of American Institute of Architects. His professional affiliations include Society of Midland Authors, Art Directors Guild, and Society of Architectural Historians Board of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, and a Master of Fine Arts from University of Southern California.
