Edward “Ted” Haffner

Edward “Ted” Haffner is a landscape architect and climate fellow. For green infrastructure projects, he take existing community contexts and works innovatively to connect the natural world to the built. Most recently, he worked for Openlands and helped launch a formal climate change strategy and refuge design, for wildlife and people. Prior to Openlands, Haffner served as senior associate and project manager at Terry Guen Design Associates.

In addition to his volunteer work on the Mies van der Rohe Society Board, he is board chair at The Nature Conservatory, a member of the Board of Advisors at The Morton Arboretum, and on the Board of Trustees at Lincoln Park Zoo.
