Perri Irmer (B.ARCH. ’81)

Perri Irmer is president of the DuSable Museum. As an architect, lawyer and former government official, she possesses a wide range of business, public policy, and technical skills. She has more than 42 years of experience in all facets of the real estate and construction industry. Irmer holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctor from University of Chicago Law School.

Irmer serves on the Obama Presidential Center Inclusion Council and After School Matters Advisory Board. She has served on the boards of many civic and charitable organizations, including Choose Chicago, the Catholic Theological Union, and is a founding member of the Chicago Sports Commission. At Illinois Institute of Technology, she served on the Alumni Board of Directors and is a founding member of the African American Alumni Association. Irmer is also a member of both the Economic Club and the Commercial Club of Chicago.

Irmer is the recipient of numerous awards and honors for her involvement in community and youth services, as well as her long standing support and advocacy of minority and women-owned businesses, and her promotion of international business relationships within Illinois. She received the Professional Achievement Award from Illinois Tech in 2007.
