John C. Morley, C.E., M.I.C.E.

 
 

For over 40 years, John Morley has managed complex building and civil engineering projects in the construction industry in the United States, United Kingdom, Middle East, Far East, and Central America. His innovation and seasoned expertise, together with a strong emphasis on team building, has earned him an enviable reputation for construction of complex projects. He has developed close working relationships with many internationally renowned architects and design professionals including, Cesar Pelli, Josef Kleihues, Riccardo Bofil, Helmut Jahn, Skidmore Owings and Merrill, Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architecture, Perkins and Will, De Stephano, Lohan, Goettsch, Solomon Cordwell Buenz, Lucien LaGrange, Brininstool and Lynch, BKL Architecture, Zeidler Roberts, GREC, Booth Hansen, Pappageorge Haymes, Epstein International, and NORR.

During his career, Morley has been responsible for the simultaneous direction of multiple major projects, and has built more than nine-million sq. ft. of office, and 23 million sq. ft. of residential and hotel new construction. This includes the construction of more than 32 high-rise buildings ranging from 30 to 70 stories. In addition, he has completed complex infrastructure and renovation work and has been responsible for establishing project operations for Lendlease in Mexico, Ohio, and Chicago.

During the past 13 years, Mr. Morley has been responsible for the start-up and development of a new residential business for Lendlease in Chicago. In this short time frame, Lendlease has become the recognized leader for the construction of condominiums, apartments, hotels, and senior living facilities in Chicago. Mr. Morley’s group, comprising as many as 160 professionals, has completed more than 18,000 residential/hotel units over the past 14 years, consistently contributing more than 65% of profits to the Chicago office.
