Leopoldo Robledo Jr. (B.ARCH ’98), AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Leopoldo Robledo Jr., known as Leo to colleagues and friends, is a native Chicagoan and the first-generation son of Mexican immigrants, was raised in the ever-evolving southside neighborhood of Pilsen. His journey as an architect began at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he honed his skills and embarked on a career spanning over 25 years. After establishing his own practice in 2015 as founding Principal of Urban Point LLC, Leo has been dedicated to expanding his practice and delivering architectural excellence, all while nurturing the next generation of professionals.
Throughout his career, Leo has actively sought opportunities to share his wealth of knowledge and insights gained from his professional journey. Whether through mentorship programs, speaking engagements, or industry collaborations, Leo remains committed to empowering emerging professionals to thrive in the field.
Leo holds a role as a Licensing Advisor and as a member of the International Qualifications Evaluation Work Group, both with NCARB, where he contributes to shaping licensure standards and practices. Additionally, his service as an International Mentor with the AIA underscores his dedication to global architectural advancement.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Leo finds fulfillment in giving back to his community and advocating for diversity and inclusion within the architecture profession. His passion for mentorship and continuous learning fuels his commitment to driving positive change in the industry.
