Jong Soung Kimm is honorary president of SAC (Seoul Architects Consultants) International Ltd., which he founded in 1978. He is an internationally renowned architect and has designed a diverse portfolio of buildings, such as the Weightlifting Gymnasium for the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Sonje Museum of Contemporary Art, Ajou University Hospital, Hotel Hilton International in Seoul, and SK Corporation headquarters building. His architectural accomplishments were exhibited at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea. At the start of his career, he worked in the office of Mies van der Rohe during the 1960s and taught architectural design at Illinois Institute of Technology until 1978

Kimm was a speaker at UIA Congresses (Montreal, 1990), Anywise Conference (Seoul, 1995), Getty Research Institute for the History of Art & Humanities (Los Angeles, 1998), and the CTBUH Congresses (Melbourne, 2001; Seoul, 2011). Kimm has served as a jury member on numerous international competitions and jury president for the Grand Egyptian Museum Competition (2002-2003). He also served as commissioner of the Korean Pavilion Architectural Exhibition (Venice Biennale, 2002), committee chair for the DOCOMOMO Conference (Seoul, 2014), and honorary chair for the UIA Congress Organizing Committee (Seoul, 2017). 

Kimm is a fellow of American Institute of Architects and Korean Institute of Architects, a recipient of the Order of Merit award from the Korean government, and the Gold Medal award from Korean Institute of Architects.
